Benefits Rights Information Service
The aim of the service is to facilitate access to benefits for the blind and partially sighted people ensuring their full take up of statutory entitlements.
As from the 1st April 2010, the board of directors have introduced a new policy whereby Friends of the Association who require assistance to complete Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance (AA) claim forms will be expected to make a donation for the service but only if the claim is successful. No donation would be expected if the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) turned down any claim. If you require more information, please contact the helpline and ask for Kevin
